GREEK INVESTIGATORS DOUBT DEBRIS BELONGS TO EGYPTAIR FLIGHT 804.
A Greek safety official says debris spotted floating near the Greek Island of Karpathos is not wreckage from missing EgyptAir Flight 804, the AP reports.
The airline, which earlier today stated wreckage had been found, has not provided an update. The Airbus 320was carrying 66 passengers and crew on a trip from Paris to Cairo when it disappeared from radar over the Mediterranean Sea on Thursday.
The flight was more likely brought down by a terror attack than technical problems, Egypt’s aviation minister said. Yahoo News is following the latest developments in the live blog below.
